Call for Presenters - MPCA 2017 Winter Modeling Seminar

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency will be hosting the 2017 Winter Modeling Seminar at the St. Paul office on January 12th, 2017.  The theme for the meeting will be the Appendix W final guidance and AERMOD updates.  We are looking for speakers to present studies on how the changes to Appendix W and new guidance may affect dispersion modeling demonstrations or present ideas on how to implement these changes.

MPCA seeking input on Air Quality Modeling Practices Manual

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency requests your input and suggestions for revising the 2016 Draft MPCA Air Quality Modeling Practices Manual. The proposed revision can be found on the Air Quality Dispersion Modeling “What’s new” webpage. Please send your feedback via email to AirModeling.PCA@state.mn.us no later than July 15, 2016.

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) has grants available to help small businesses reduce air pollution.  The grants will pay up to $50,000 for projects going beyond compliance to reduce emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).  Examples include, but may not be limited to, switching from solvent-based to water-based painting or coating; or switching to powder coating; or switching to low-VOC degreasing and/or cleaning operaitons.  A variety of other projects to cost-effectively reduce VOCs may also be eligible.
