A&WMA Upper Midwest Section - YP to ACE 2019 Scholarship

Each year the A&WMA Annual Conference and Exhibition (ACE) attracts thousands of environmental professionals from around the globe. ACE is the premier opportunity for networking, professional development, and learning more about A&WMA.

A&WMA-UMS would like to pass along the following invitation from the MPCA for the Winter Air Modeling seminar:

The voting to approve our proposed bylaws has concluded with 27 in favor and zero opposed.  The following changes have been made to the bylaws that govern our Section:

1)     The Vice-Chair and Chair positions are independent, one-year terms, with an option to run for re-election each year, though "soft" term limits apply;

2)     The Past-Chair position is retained, but allows for optional term extension in the event that the current Chair is re-elected;

Everyone on the Board, including but not limited to all officers and committee chairs, volunteer their time & talent to provide for the membership of our section.  Unfortunately, in recent years, our membership have/has shown decreasing interest in serving as officers and committee chairs.  We, the current Board, believe that the current commitment structure of the Board Chair position may be scaring-off potential, would-be participants.  Currently, on

Mike Hult, a current Director of the A&WMA-UMS Board will be hosting an EHS Auditing Event at 3M Center in Maplewood MN, on behalf of the Institute of Internal Auditors. The event will be on Thursday, March 22, 2018, from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m; the registration deadline is Monday March 19.
