In 2005, A&WMA Upper Midwest Section donated $10,000 to establish a scholarship fund in honor of former member David Benforado. Today, the David Benforado
Memorial Scholarship is awarded in recognition of air pollution reduction and control and waste minimization to support graduate students pursuing careers in air quality, waste
management, and environmental management, policy, or law. In order to allow this scholarship to be awarded annually, A&WMA UMS is asking its membership and member
companies to contribute to this fund.
A&WMA Upper Midwest Section will match all donations by individuals and organizations up to a total of $5,000.
