Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES)– Metropolitan Wastewater Treatment Plant

The Upper Midwest Section of the Air & Waste Management Association invites you to tour the MCES Metropolitan (Metro) Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Located on the Mississippi River in St. Paul, the Metro Plant is the largest wastewater treatment facility in Minnesota. When it opened in 1938, it was the first plant in a metropolitan area on the Mississippi River. Today it is among the nation's largest.

The Metropolitan Plant has an excellent environmental record and regularly earns state and national awards for operational excellence.  You are also invited to join us for a networking and social event following the tour. The location for the social event will be announced at a later date.
