A&WMA YP-to-ACE Axe Throwing Tournament Fundraiser

The A&WMA-UMS Young Professional’s group is hosting an Axe Throwing Tournament for the 5^th Annual YP-to-ACE Fundraiser event! Join us for an axe throwing competition, free food and drinks, prizes for the top competitors, and a prize basket raffle! This fundraiser will help fund a scholarship used to send a Young Professional to the A&WMA Annual Conference and Exhibition (ACE). The ACE focuses on environmental technologies and regulations and will be an excellent arena for one of the Young Professionals to gain insight into up-and-coming areas in the environmental world, as well as to take advantage of the extensive networking and educational opportunities offered by the conference.  As the Young Professionals are the future leaders of A&WMA and the environmental profession, this scholarship intends to help develop the Young Professionals in the A&WMA UMS, and thus the Section as a whole. Our goal is to raise $1,000 and we can’t do that without your help!

Who: All are welcome!

When: Saturday, April 15, 2023. Arrive at 1:45 pm to check in and get ready for axe throwing. Axe throwing will be from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

What: Axe Throwing! Food and drinks will be provided.

Where: FlannelJax’s St. Paul – 755 Prior Ave N, Suite 102, St. Paul, MN 55104. Parking is on the east side of Prior Ave.

Registration Cost: $50/person. This includes admission for axe throwing, food, a drink ticket, and entry into the prize pools!

Details:

1. RSVP by Friday, April 7!
2. Happy hour appetizers and drinks will be provided!
3. Cash prizes will be given to the top three scorers and to whoever manages to hit the most bullseyes!
4. Prize baskets will be awarded with a raffle!
5. Arrive at 1:45 pm to get checked in and ready to throw at 2 pm. Tell the desk you’re here with A&WMA.
