What is a YP-to-ACE Fundraiser?

The purpose of this fundraiser is to fund a scholarship to send a Young Professional to the A&WMA Annual Conference and Exhibition (ACE). The ACE focuses on environmental technologies and regulations, and will be an excellent arena for one of the Young Professionals to gain insight into up and coming areas in the environmental world, as well as to take advantage of the extensive networking and educational opportunities offered by the conference.  As the Young Professionals are the future leaders of A&WMA and the environmental profession, this scholarship intends to help develop the Young Professionals in the A&WMA UMS, and thus the Section as a whole. Our goal is to raise $1,000 and we can’t do that without your help!

Logistics

When: Saturday, March 23rd from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Where: Drkula’s Pub (6710 Cahill Ave E, Inver Grove Heights, MN 55076)

Cost

Anyone is invited to participate in the tournament so invite your friends, family, and A&WMA colleagues.

$30/ individual player

What’s included in registration?

Even if you think you are a long shot to win the tournament, registration includes door prizes, a drink ticket, appetizers, and most importantly, a whole bunch of fun!

What is Euchre?

Euchre is a trick-taking card game popular in the Midwest. Games consist of four players playing two against two as partners.  Euchre uses a small deck of 24 cards (A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9) where the highest trump card is the jack of the trump suit (called the right bower). The purpose of the game is for a team to win at least three tricks.
