The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) Upper Midwest Section (UMS) Young Professionals (YPs) are sponsoring an Earth Day volunteer event! Help celebrate Earth Day by cleaning up Como Park in St. Paul. A&WMA membership is not required; all UMS members and friends/family are invited to participate!
About the Event
Come help clean up Como Park during the St. Paul Earth Day City Wide Clean Up sponsored by the St. Paul Parks and Recreation Department!
For nearly 30 years, the Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Department has established a tradition of hosting an annual Spring Parks Cleanup event to collect the trash that has accumulated over the winter. Now, with the help of the Department of Public Works and their Come Clean! initiative, the event has transformed into a citywide effort to clean our parks, neighborhoods, and streets. Without the help of volunteers, trash accumulates in many areas, polluting lakes, rivers, and detracting from the beauty of our community. This event is a fun and effective way to improve our natural environment while also contributing to the overall beautification of St. Paul.
When/Where
The Clean Up will take place on Saturday April 18th from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at the Como Lakeside Pavilion (1360 N Lexington Pkwy) . We will meet at Caribou Coffee (1127 Larpenteur Ave W) between 8:15 - 8:45 am on Saturday April 18th. Then the group will go to Como Lakeside Pavilion for the event.
Instead of using the webform to register for this event, please RSVP to Jen Moore by Thursday April 16th.
