Nominations are once again open for positions on the Upper Midwest Section Board.  Board members play a vital role in assisting the Board in planning future Section programs, keeping members abreast of current environmental issues, and helping them better connect with their peers.  Board membership provides an excellent opportunity for those who wish to get more involved in the Section and help guide it into the future.

Nominations are open through Monday, November 11, 2019.  Elections will be held for the following positions: Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and Director.  Descriptions of each position are included in that attached nomination form.  Directors are elected to three-year terms and the remaining positions to one-year terms.  Board meetings are held in-person or by telephone conference once a month.

If you are interested in participating in A&WMA-UMS but not as a Board member, consider joining one of our Standing Committees:  Membership, Program Planning, Nominating, Education and Communications.  A description of these Committees and their responsibilities can be found in Article VI of the Section’s bylaws.  Those interested in serving on a committee can email Board Director Bill Hefner at whefner@envirolawgroup.com.

Members interested in either a Board position or in serving on a committee are encouraged to reach out to any one of our current Board members for additional information:  http://www.awma-ums.org/about

Please complete this form to nominate yourself or a colleague for a Board position by November 11, 2019

Ballots will be emailed to members in late November, with voting to be completed in December and new officers installed in January.
